Perfect for carving smoked briskets. This is more substantial that I had anticipated.
I must change my original 1 star review. This company's customer service is excellent and I must compliment them. I ordered the medium board after reading in two places in the description that it weighed 4 pounds. I received it but found that 10 pounds was more accurate. It was simply too heavy for everyday use. I returned it and gave it a negative review. Imagine my surprise when I immediately heard from the company! They explained that Amazon had included incorrect information on their product page and apologized. They went further by sending me a more appropriate cutting board at no cost! A wonderful product and an excellent company. I will order from them in the future.
This teak cutting board is 1.25”; reasonably light to lift while being a generous size for chopping. I mostly use the side without juice canals, but am glad to have the drainage option. Following the practice to clean and mineral oil both sides is needed to prevent warping. This board is beautiful!
Beautiful cutting board - timely arrival as expected. One small approx. 1" "divet" indentation in one side of board - but not complaining, as bought at reduced price, and doesn't distract from functionality or appearance. Overall functional, heavy board. I love it - hope it holds up without splitting as other reviews I've seen!
amazing product
The drip to catch drippings from his prime rib roasts, the size and the wood. I knew what he wanted and looked on Amazon. I haven’t seen these in department stores.
The board splintered terribly. Seasoned it as instructed and just can't use it. Bad quality.
Only had a couple of months, board is warping and now sits uneven. We have only hand washed it.
Was a gift for daughter in law and she absolutely loved it! We also bought cleaning and treatment supplies, to help keep the board in great shape.
Beautiful cutting board, very sturdy, looks exactly how pictured .
This cutting board is the best! It’s so perfect, I had to buy a second one as a gift. My kitchen is a hub of the activity in my house, and this board stands up well to a lot of use. It is heavy, so the bigger size might be awkward for some people to move around and clean. Consider the weight when you decide which size to order.
the board is very rough. needs to be sanded better
Bought the large one to cover the stove top on my RV. It’s absolutely gorgeous and very sturdy. Use a bit of teak oil to condition. Well worth the money
Beautiful
Great cutting board! Thanks!
This gorgeous teak cutting board - charcuterie board arrived 2 days early and it is more beautiful and sturdier than I could imagine. We will enjoy using it for years to come.
This cutting board is absolutely beautiful. It's fairly small, but still big enough to be plenty useful for normal cooking. I've used it several times now, and it works great and is very easy to clean. I did season it when it first arrived, as it arrived feeling very rough. It's nice to have features like the hanging hole and juice groove. For $25 at time of writing, I'm happy to recommend this great looking cutting board.
Absolutely beautiful cutting board. It says you don’t have to oil it when it arrives but I still treated it with mineral oil and let it sit for several hours. My only complaint is they suggest using olive or veg oil. DO NOT use those oils, they go rancid. Only mineral oil. Otherwise great board.
Used one time and then washed and the entire board was splintering. Waste of money for a crappy product. Extremely Embarrassed because this was given as a gift. Do not buy
Everything about this boad exceeded expectations
This is an absolutely beautiful cutting board. Exceptionally sturdy.
Well made - excellent gift
Not so big and the material is another, not the one from description
Large cutting board made of teak wood. It was the perfect size for our Thanksgiving turkey and made my carving job so much easier.
I've been learning to cook and have been cooking more often, so I wanted to get a small wooden cutting board to replace the plasticky board I currently have. Off the bat, I noticed a big difference in how cutting feels on a solid wooden board versus plastic. The first and probably the most crucial aspect is it doesn't slide around, so it feels way safer to be cutting on this board. Next, it feels better, the chops and slices feel more purposeful and easier. It's a way better feeling that's hard to describe, but even as a new cook, I can tell there's a difference. Overall, it's a well-made board, and the size seems perfect for cutting vegetables and meats for a small family. I can cut tomatoes and onions or onions and garlic on the same board before I run out of space. It's about the size of a 15-inch laptop, which at first seems small, but after using it, it is a perfect size. Clean-up is straightforward wash with soap and a sponge, and dry in the sink. The only small issue is that the board gets knife cuts easily, and while washing it, it feels less smooth after a few weeks of use. It feels rougher compared to the bottom side with the grooves, which I haven't used, so it may need to be oiled and treated more often. Also, it works well as a small charcuterie board too.
Smaller size works well with limited counter space.
I'm happy with this order of Beefurni cutting board, and here is why. The cutting board is made from teak wood and appears well-made, durable, and thick. The adjoining mix of wood that makes up the board gives it an excellent elegant design and is perfect for any kitchen. It is also a good value, and therefore I rate this product five out of five stars.
My wife and I really like this cutting board. The size is perfect for small jobs. The durability is impressive so far. After many uses, we cannot detect any cuts to the board from our knives. Teak is an incredible hard wood that is long lasting if you care for it properly. I anticipate this to last a long time. I recommend this product.
This is a beautiful cutting board sized for small to medium cutting tasks. I appreciate the addition of the juice groove. Our flat cutting boards routinely allow juice to ooze off the board and onto the counter requiring cleaning of both the cutting board and the counter. One thing I did not like was the fact that it was oiled with vegetable oil and that the directions suggest regularly wiping with vegetable oil, mineral oil or olive oil. Mineral oil is the only one of those three that belongs on this list (there are other good options as well that a little research will reveal). The other two go rancid. This is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. The board was packaged up nicely in a form fitting cardboard box, and its appearance was exactly as pictured.
Because this cutting board came pre-seasoned I only had to wash it, dry it, and use it. I cut up some veggies for roasting and I love cutting on the wooden surface compared to a plastic or glass surface, which is what I had been using. The wood of this cutting board is beautiful. I plan on leaving it out for all to see.
5 out of 5…. * I only rate exceptional products 5 stars. This is an exceptional product for the price. * Nice deep groove to catch juices. * High quality construction and manufacturing, as well as top notch materials. * Fantastic fit and finish. I was really impressed when it came. The “fit and finish” along with how the manufacturer presented it, made me feel like it was a super high end product. This cutting board has a high bar to reach. I am comparing it to a cutting board I have had for 10+ years and bought for under $20.00 at my local economical super store (if you know what I mean). That board has never split, broken, warped or changed colors. I take terrible care of it and often leave in in a sink with water. Needless to say, this new one has its work cut out for it. I do believe it will raise to the challenge. It appears really well made, came pre-oiled, with instructions to continue to oil it if it drys out. The joinery is tight and the finish is great. Obviously, I can’t indicate its long term durability, but I will update this review a few years from now after significant use. By all initial measures, this is a fantastic product and I am really pleased. 5 stars because, 1.The routed groove around the outside is nice and deep. Often these grooves are shallow and nearly useless, this one functions very well. 2. Initially, the construction appears very high. No blemishes, knots or poor joints. Material quality is very selective and it shows. 3. Overall fit and finish is 5 out of 5. This is a manufacturer that cares how their product looks and functions. Considering that many hardwood cutting boards are significantly more expensive than this, this is a fantastic product. Material, construction, and fit & finish make this an exceptional product.
First off, this board is pretty, I’ll give them that. When I reviewed this listing one of the listing photos included instructions for how often to treat with mineral oil. However, what I missed is if you read down in the description it says they treat the boards with vegetable oil. The care instructions provided in the box also say to treat the board with vegetable or olive oil. You’re not supposed to treat wood cutting board with these oils because they can go rancid and then make your food taste rancid. (Mineral oil is the most commonly recommended option I’ve read about). So now I’m concerned this board is going to get gross. I plan to wash thoroughly, treat with mineral oil, and hope for the best.
This is my first (and hopefully last) grown up cutting board. This is the real deal and I am blown away with its impact as it makes a statement in the kitchen. It’s beautiful! I was on the fence but after some good “googling” I knew I wanted Teak and I knew I wanted a 24x18 - this guy checked all the boxes. ❤️
This is a man’s cutting board. Perfect for chopping up large animal shanks, peppering a 5lb chuck roast, or rubbing down a Boston pork butt. It’s huge! It’s also super sturdy. I’m very impressed. The wood is of high quality & it has a great look to it! See video.
This is a heavy teak cutting board - large, so check the dimensions! The wood grain is lovely. It comes with a channel for collecting meat juices as well as indent handles on the ends, which are very handy for carrying this heavy board. As with other teak cutting boards, it is recommended that you apply mineral oil. It would be great if a small condiment-sized packet were included with the board to get you started since a lot of people don't keep mineral oil on hand.
This cutting board is absolutely beautiful, it cannot only serve as a cutting board but also a serving board. maybe I am used to cutting on smaller boards but I enjoy all the space it provides for me to cut whatever it is I am cutting up. It holds up to my knives, no marks left but I read that if it does take on marks that it can be sanded out. I will see if that will be necessary but so far not. It cleans so easy but it is a must to seal it with food grade mineral oil and to apply it on a regular basis (once a month is recommended). I can definitely tell the difference from when I got it out of the package and after I applied mineral oil, you do not want to neglect that step. The juice grooves run all along the sides so that is a nice feature as are the handle grooves on the sides to carry it. This is a stellar cutting board, I just enjoy even looking at it on the counter.
This cutting board is beautiful, heavy and great craftsmanship! Its big enough to cut a large homemade pizza on (photoed is a 12 inch pizza), but you can see that it could accommodate a larger one as well. This would also make a gorgeous charcuterie board when you have guests over. The wood on it is gorgeous. The directions did suggest seasoning it before using, which I did. It also recommends to wash BOTH sides when you clean it to avoid warping, which I also did. I think this beautiful piece of wood will serve me well for years to come!
We used the grooved side for carving and the non-grooved side for serving. The board looks and feels really great and I can tell that it's really good quality (we have a lot of cutting boards). Obviously it's not convenient since you/'' have to sand and season regularly and it's not dishwasher safe, but if you're looking for a sturdy, well made teak cutting board, this is pretty good. Oh, and it came with a wooden spatula but I don't like that one.
This is the perfect cutting board for serving a big roast or steak. Has great look and built in groove is nice for capturing the extra juice. This is a solid wood board that is relatively thick and heavy. Could easily leave it out on counter all the time as it has a nice look. Price is fair but if you get on sale would be a great deal.
It’s so hard to find a large cutting board at a reasonable price. I spend my life (happily) in the kitchen cooking, and I really dislike having to prepare food on a tiny cutting board. I’ve done it many times at friends’ houses. The cutting board I’ve had for many years is quite large (2’x3’), but it’s also quite awful. It’s .5” thick, all the pieces of wood are coming unglued, and it wobbles like crazy. This teak board is so solid, so smooth, so pretty, and so large (even if it isn’t 2’x3’), that I couldn’t be happier with it. The folks who made it clearly care about craftsmanship. The board has finger grips on the sides, and A JUICE GROOVE ON ONE SIDE OF THE BOARD. I’ve seen some reviews where customers express disappointment when a cutting board doesn’t have juice grooves on both sides. But a juice groove on one side only is a much better design because it gives you options. Most of the time, you’ll be using the board to chop vegetables, etc., so you won’t need a juice groove which would reduce your work surface. Twice a year, or every few months, whenever you need to carve a turkey or a roast, you’ll turn the board around.
I love this beautiful teak cutting board, and I want it to last a long time, so I followed the instructions and rubbed the board with mineral oil to seal it before using it. Then I wrote myself a note on the kitchen calendar to remind me to oil it once a month with mineral oil or beeswax, both sides, to keep it moisturized. You can hand wash these teak cutting boards with soap and warm water, but be sure to always wash it on both sides to prevent the wood from warping and dry it on both sides, don't let it sit in the dish rack. I didn't know that before I read about these cutting boards. Obviously, you can't put this in the dishwasher. This teak cutting board is so beautiful that it makes my kitchen look nicer. I love the juice groove and hand grips, and I'll also use this as a serving tray. I'd give this beautiful cutting board more than five stars if I could, but five's my limit. This is a wonderful product that would make a great gift for anyone who loves to cook and kitchen equipment. I don't normally coddle my kitchen utensils or cutting boards, but this one is so pretty I'll be glad to give it special treatment.
The Beefurni teak cutting board is simply beautiful and as elegant and artistic looking as it is functional. An elegant wooden septula is part of the package that comes with the board. One of my pictures shows this cutting board up against another smaller one made by a local artist. The Beefurni board is just as beautiful as the art piece but at a fraction of the price. It is also thicker and measures in at one inch making it one of the higher and more substantial cutting boards I have. It is also larger being 18x14 inches. That is a good size for almost anything from slicing roasts to cutting vegetables in prep. That brings up the dual usage of the board. One side has deep juice troughs which catch the juices from the meats you cut. The other side is perfect for cutting vegetables and for non-juicy kitchen prep work. Tip: You don't want to put wooden products in your dishwasher and keep them from soaking in water. They should be washed and dried immediately after use. You'll also want to put a food grade cutting board oil on it occasionally when it starts to dull with repeated use.
This is an extremely nice chopping block. The size is great for pulling a large steak off the grill. The drip channels are nice and deep... I don't expect overflow to be a problem at all! The teak is tight between each board (not gaps). This is a real winner. And, it presents like a champ... this is a pulled pork sandwich on the new board. Second, bone-in ribeye
Although I read the measurements when I ordered, I didn’t expect this to be so large, but, more than that, it is very heavy! I guess that kind of sturdiness will help it to last. I’d ordered it to use as a serving board for appetizers or for a cheese board, but as it’s heavy without food on it I think it will be better used as an actual cutting or carving board. I like the juice groove that will likely help when I’m cutting up watermelon or a roast. It also has indents on the sides to help with picking it up. Now if I can only find someplace to store it. It’s a bit of a beast at an inch or so thick. So far it’s easy to clean, but I’ll edit my review if it doesn’t wear well. I have a smaller wood cutting board that has lasted ten or so years, so I have faith in the wood.
Beautiful wood, but somewhat disappointing. The surface is not polished smooth as I expected from a high quality board like that. It is thick, well rounded edges, pre-treated, deep and wide liquid collection groove, and nice side handles grooves. Overall well made and high quality board, just that the cutting surface feels rough.
Very impressed with this cutting board. The wood is seriously thick and feels smooth to the touch. It definitely has some heft to it (see pictures). They didn't have the price listed at the time of writing this review, but I feel like if this were in the $30-$40 range it would definitely be a good deal.
It's gorgeous and came with a bonus wooden turner. One side of the cutting board has the juice moat, which I don't love to use, but the back side is smooth. It has handles on the ends to make it easier to pick up and hold. First use it did get some scratches in the wood, but it still looks really lovely. I'm going to use some mineral oil on it and see how it holds up over time, but for the price it's a great board!
This teak cutting board is beautiful and very well made! The cutting board it pre-oiled by the company so watch out when opening once received. You need to handwash this and dry this with a towel between uses and about once a month oil the cutting board to maintain the wood. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with a wooden spatula! This cutting board is well worth the purchase!
I love to cook, and I love a sharp knife and a quality cutting board. This board is the perfect size for me, and it is really attractive and feels very nice in my hands. Teak is known to be a good wood for cutting boards, and I expect that it will perform well for years. It came with instructions and care tips that I found to be very helpful. This would make a wonderful gift as well.
